    The intricate miniature worlds conjured by the American artist Joseph Cornell provided the starting point for Helen Grime's string trio Aviary Sketches, which receives its US premiere at New York's Alice Tully Hall on November 10.

    The programme for the BBC Proms 2015 was announced on April 23 and a number of works by Music Sales composers, both old and new, will be performed in the festival. Running from July 17 to September 12, the BBC Proms feature a wide range of works from a long list of composers including new commissions as well as established and well known works for a variety of genres.

    On May 21 the Edinburgh Quartet will perform the world premiere of a new String Quartet by Helen Grime at Queen's Hall, Edinburgh.

    Helen has a strong existing catalogue of chamber music, but this is her first piece for string quartet. The work has been commissioned by the Edinburgh Quartet with funding from Creative Scotland, the RVW Trust, the Britten-Pears Foundation, the Hope Scott Trust and the PRS for Music Foundation.

Running from July 18 to September 13, the Proms features new commissions and world premieres by some of Music Sales’ leading composers.
